Membership Committee
The Membership Committee provides and oversees strategies for the Association in order to increase membership and to
provide knowledge of the Association to other agencies, associations,
businesses, and individuals.
Service Award Committee
Recommends to the Executive Board appropriate recognition to individuals,
agencies and organizations for outstanding or significant contributions in the
area of Emergency Management and Emergency Services based on the criteria established by the Executive Board. Upon approval by the board, this committee makes known the promotion of
achievements, accomplishments, and goals of the Association to the
public, the media, and other organizations.
Conference Committee
The Conference Committee is responsible for assisting the Executive Board in providing adequate services for conference attendees. The committee helps to provide sponsors and exhibitors, aid in managing speaker presentations, and assist in other logistical needs of the association.
Certification Committee
Oversees implementation of the certification program, to include: establishing program certification requirements, evaluating knowledge,
skills, and abilities that warrant issuance of a certificate, and administration of certification exams. This committee will also be responsible for providing recommendations to the Executive Board based upon reviewed applications
for emergency management certification levels and selecting those that meet the
certification requirements.
